 The "Tjust-province" with it's wealth of variety in natural environment and a beautiful archipelago -the "Blue Coast"- is located at the border between Småland and Östergötland . It's very easy to get to the little village Björnsholm and our peacefully situated guesthouse, which was built in a typically swedish tree-house-style in the beginning of the century. You find Björnsholm on the Eastcoast of Sweden between Stockholm and the island Öland, or to be more precise between Norrköping and Kalmar, close to the E22 about 30 kilometers north of the coast-town Västervik. Nearby Björnsholm a rich variety in natural environment with sweeping forests, lakes and of course the sea invites to a lot of activities:
More information about Gamleby Only a few kilometers north you'll find the "adventure-fort" Fort Helgenäs. Ongoing events in the "Tjust-province" you will find here. Nearby are also the largest Wildlife Park in Skandinavia Kolmården, the Astrid Lindgren Centre with its wonderful miniature villages based on her famous children's books, as well as The little Land, a miniature of Sweden.  The hostel itself is idyllically situated on a hill among a lush garden and we offer a few individually designed and furnished rooms for rent. Most of them are doubles but also some suitable for families. There also is a fully equipped kitchen to which our guests have free access to do their own cooking, next to a comfortable sittingroom. In summertime it's just beautiful to sit outside on the veranda or the balkony, or do some grilling in the garden and watch the wonderful sunset. If you like, you can of course order breakfast and be served in the nice and light diningroom. Open all year, from september to may bookings have to be made in advance.
